Eyes down for Easter bingo event fundraising success
3 April 2025
On Wednesday evening, the assembly hall was abuzz with excitement as Year 7 and Year 8 pupils and their families gathered for an Easter bingo fundraising event.
The evening was filled with laughter and friendly competition as attendees vied for an array of egg-cellent prizes. Mr Eastham, our Principal, showcased his new-found talent as the number caller, adding a delightful twist to his daytime role. Each line win elicited cheers as winners received bags brimming with chocolate treats. The stakes were raised for full house wins, which were awarded hampers packed with chocolate, wine, and assorted Easter gifts, ensuring the spirit of the season was felt by all.
The event proved to be a spectacular success, raising over £800, surpassing last year’s figure and marking a significant contribution to our school’s fundraising efforts.
A special mention goes to the raffle, which featured a homemade chocolate cake by our talented Vice Principal and Food Technology teacher, Mrs Cowell, and a handcrafted floral basket from our award-winning gardener, Mr. Farron (flowers donated by Newgate Nurseries). These enticing prizes, along with the generous donations of Easter eggs and £2s given by our pupils in exchange for the prior week’s non-uniform day, added a touch of Priory charm to the event.
We would also like to acknowledge the invaluable assistance provided by our prefect helpers, Lewis A, Emma H, and Emily P.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated. Your support and generosity make events like these possible, and we look forward to many more in the future.
