Year 7 Springs into Success at Trampoline Debut

Heather was jumping for joy after her first ever trampoline competition earlier this month.

The Year 7 competes as a gymnast at the City of Preston Gymnastic Club but, after talking to her coach, decided to have a go at the Urban Hawaiian Invitational 2025 Trampolining competition.

“I only had three weeks of training and I was up against people who had been training for trampolining all the time,” she said.

“There was a set routine and the ‘vol’ – a voluntary routine. I finished third in the set routine, fourth in the vol and third overall so I was happy.

“I want to carry on with gymnastics but I might look into doing more trampolining in the future.”
