Pupils Experience Iftar With Evening Meal Celebration
4 March 2026

On Friday, 27 February, we took a group of pupils to The Olive of Sinai for a special Iftar meal.
When they arrived, pupils opened their fast with dates and fruit. They listened to the call to prayer and were able to observe congregational prayer, which was a valuable and memorable experience. Pupils asked thoughtful questions and learned about the ritual washing (wudu) performed before prayer.
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a delicious three-course meal... the burgers and pizzas were a particular hit! The evening was rounded off with milkshakes and cheesecake.
Mrs Robinson-Ali, who organised the event with Mrs Karodia, said, “It was a lovely evening of socialising and learning more about another culture and religion. We are incredibly proud to be able to offer these enriching experiences to our pupils to promote understanding and inclusivity within our school community.”
