Pupils were snapping up the 3D Printing Club’s amazing creations – with the money made used to buy more filaments for the school’s 3D printers.
Fidget toys, pens, key rings and puzzles were all on sale one lunch-time, in different colours, shapes and sizes.
Mrs Qadri said: “The fidget toys were the most popular but we made sure they were silent!
“The aim was to make some money as a roll of filament for the 3D printers can cost £25-£30.
“We made £260 and sold out of some products! The Year 7 pupils who helped with the sale got to choose a free item each at the end.”
Ahmed said: “I sold some of my work. The puzzles were the most popular.”
Year 7 Emily has a 3D printer at home as she requested one for Christmas and she made £79 on her own.
“I brought in some items I had made at home, my mum helped me too! I enjoyed making them and it was nice to sell them too. I want to go into something with 3D printing in the future.”
Year 10 Junior spent his work experience in the ICT Department and he supported the preparation of the goods and researched prices, ready for the big sale.
“I am studying Computer Science and it was a good week of work experience.
"I got involved with the sale, just looking on Amazon and other places to assess the prices of what we were selling.
"I want to do something with computing in the future.”
