On Wednesday, 11 March we proudly hosted an inspiring Primary and Secondary Boccia Competition, delivered in partnership with Panathlon and the South Ribble Active Health Team.
The day brought together 14 secondary schools and eight primary schools, filling the sports hall with a wonderful sense of community. It was fantastic to see so many pupils challenging themselves, supporting one another, and most importantly, enjoying the experience.
We were especially delighted to have several Priory pupils take part - Maddie S, Zach F, Zac L, Imogen R and Isaac S represented the school brilliantly, showing great sportsmanship, determination and enthusiasm throughout the event.
Congratulations to our winning teams - Secondary Winner: Applebee Wood | Primary Winner: Broad Oak
Both teams will now go on to compete in the regional finals, and we wish them every success as they take the next step in their Boccia journey.
This event simply wouldn’t have been possible without the commitment and energy of our outstanding Priory young leaders from Years 8 and 9. Their maturity, organisation and the way they supported and encouraged participants were exemplary, they truly were a credit to the school.
A huge well done and thank you to everyone involved for helping to create such a memorable and uplifting day!
