Huge congratulations to Mrs Barker, Mr Bolton and our catering team led by Mrs Morley and Mrs Billings, who have been shortlisted for two of The School Food People Awards for Excellence.

The awards aim to recognise individuals and teams that have made a ‘real difference’ to school food and education catering. 

Strategic Business Development Manager, Mrs Barker, and Strategic Estates Development Manager Mr Bolton have been shortlisted for the Nan Berger Memorial Award, which recognises exemplary work in innovation, accreditation and collaboration.

The Penwortham Priory Academy catering team has also been named finalists for the Secondary School Catering Team Award, recognising their dedication to improving students’ lunchtimes.

Together, these achievements are a real testament to the fresh thinking and positive changes the school team has made by developing self-service school lunchtimes, which deliver a smoother, more enjoyable dining experience for students and staff alike.

The team will attend The School Food People Awards for Excellence in Birmingham on the evening of Wednesday, 8th July, along with all the finalists from across the school food community, where the winners will be revealed.
