On Monday, 15 June, our Year 8 rounders team took part in a tournament at Priory, competing against five other South Ribble high schools.

The team performed brilliantly throughout the afternoon, showing both skill and determination in every match.  They played a total of four games and were very successful, winning three out of the four - resulting in a second place victory.

We were extremely impressed with the overall standard of play. In particular, the pupils’ batting technique, accurate fielding, and quick decision-making were of a very high level. Just as importantly, their enthusiasm and encouragement towards one another was fantastic to see, creating a positive and supportive team environment throughout the event.

PE Teacher and Head of Year, Mrs Bullock, said, “Each game was closely contested, but our pupils demonstrated excellent batting and fielding, which made a real difference in key moments. Their communication on the pitch and ability to work together as a team stood out and contributed greatly to their success.”

Overall, it was a very enjoyable and successful afternoon, and the team should be proud of both their performance and their attitude.
