Last Friday, we were delighted to welcome three representatives from the Penwortham in Bloom Committee for a tour of our renowned school gardens.
Mr Farron, joined by Miss Smith who is herself a keen gardener, showed the visitors around the school grounds after hearing many positive comments about the estate and its impressive horticultural displays.
Our gardens have become a real source of pride for the school and have received recognition through the North West in Bloom awards on several occasions. During the visit, Mr Farron shared how the gardens have developed over his time at Priory, explaining the work that has gone into creating and maintaining the colourful displays as well as outlining his plans for future projects.
With the school estate currently at its summer best, the visitors were amazed by the vibrant planting, carefully maintained grounds and the variety of flowers in full bloom throughout the site. The trio commented that our gardens made a wonderful contribution to the education of our children in creating an environment that enhances calmness and structure to the students who pass through them each and every day - Penwortham can certainly feel proud of the facility that exists within the area!
The visit was also a wonderful opportunity to showcase the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in caring for our gardens and to celebrate the important role they play in creating such a welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors alike.
