Despite the heat, our pupils threw themselves into Sports Day with incredible enthusiasm, determination and House spirit. From the moment the House colours went on in Douglas, Hodder, Calder and Ribble, the energy across the field was high!
The atmosphere was buzzing all day long, with fabulous music keeping spirits moving and an unforgettable impromptu whole-school dance-a-thon bringing everyone together at the end of the day.
A huge thank you to our amazing PE Department for organising another fantastic event, and to our brilliant commentator, Mr Taylor, who kept us entertained and informed throughout the competition. Special mention must also go to our ever-popular (and slightly cheeky!) mascot, Pedro the Puffin, who was never far from the action.
Sports Day wasn't just about what happened on the track. Pupils also enjoyed fundraising games, a tuck shop and House colours face painting, helping to make it a fun-filled day for everyone.
And finally, congratulations to Douglas House, our worthy overall champions!
