Class of 2026 leave Penwortham Priory Academy with confidence, character and ambition after receiving their impressive GCSE results.

Principal, Mr Eastham said, "We are immensely proud of the achievements of our Year 11 students as we celebrate not only a strong set of GCSE results, but also the success of a year group who have embraced every opportunity available to them.

"These excellent GCSE results reflect years of hard work, determination and resilience, supported every step of the way by their families and our dedicated staff.

"Whilst we celebrate the impressive academic outcomes they have achieved today, we are equally proud of the remarkable young people they have become.

"They leave Priory with the confidence, character and ambition to thrive in the next stage of their education and beyond and we’re excited to see them go on to make a positive difference in the world.”

Today then, we’re delighted to celebrate the accomplishments of our Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE results and bring to a close an important chapter of their education at Priory.

These outcomes represent far more than a set of examination grades. They reflect five years of learning, determination and personal growth, during which students have embraced challenges, developed new skills and created lasting memories.

We congratulate every student on the results they have achieved and the commitment they have shown throughout their time with us. Their successes are a credit to their own efforts, the encouragement of their families and the dedication of the staff who have supported them along the way.

This year's cohort has achieved some outstanding results across a wide range of subjects, demonstrating both academic excellence and a willingness to strive for their very best. We are particularly pleased to see so many students achieving outcomes that will enable them to pursue their chosen destinations with confidence.

However, what makes this group truly special cannot be measured by examination results alone. Throughout their time at Priory, they have made a significant contribution to the life of the school through their involvement in sport, the performing arts, student leadership, charitable initiatives and the many enrichment opportunities available to them.

At Priory, we believe education is about preparing young people for life as well as qualifications. As this cohort leaves us, they do so as articulate, ambitious and thoughtful individuals who have much to offer their communities and the wider world.

Whether progressing to sixth form, college, apprenticeships or employment, we are confident with these results, that they have the foundations, character and aspirations needed to make a success of the opportunities ahead.

We thank our students and their families for being such an important part of our Priory community and look forward to following their future achievements with immense pride. We wish them every success as they begin the next stage of their journey.
