Five of our female footballers are celebrating trophy wins!

Year 8 Freya and Emeli play for Lostock St Gerard’s and were playing for their Under 14s – a year up over the 9th/10th May.

Freya plays in midfield while Emeli is a right back and they celebrated silverware in the Under 14 Coulton Cup at Fleetwood.

Emeli said: “We beat Euton Villa Pinks Under 14s 4-2. We were always ahead.”

Freya was captain on the day and lifted the trophy.

Year 8s attacker Isla, midfielder Amaya and winger Ellie won the Under 13s Coulton Cup for Lancon Junior FC Yellows, overcoming Morecambe Hawks at Fleetwood.

Amaya said: “It was a tight game. We scored two goals in the first half and then they came back but we held on to win 2-1.”
